The bulbs should be planted in soft soils to allow excess water to flow quickly, thus avoiding water stagnation which can damage the root system of the bulb.
If you grow them in the garden , the first rule is to make a small hole that is twice the height of the bulb. Place each bulb inside the groove with the tip facing upwards and cover it with the earth obtained from the excavation, after having chopped it up with your hands. In the end, water the soil well.
To cultivate in pot , prepare a mixture consisting of 8 parts of universal soil, a part of sand and a part of manure; add the specific fertilizer for cyclamen and bulbous plants which allows us to have nitrogen available for a few months, and to improve the porosity and the soil mixture.
At the bottom of the pot, place a small layer of expanded clay, then fill the container up to a few centimeters below the edge, place the bulbs and cover up to the collar with the soil; press the soil with your hands, so that the bulbs do not move when wet.
Finally, water, and wait for the bulbs to sprout to water again.
