Versele Laga Cavia is a complete and tasty food for guinea pigs, made up of 100% easily digested extruded granules.
In small mammals dental problems often occur, in most cases, these are the direct consequence of an inadequate diet that does not contribute sufficiently to the natural wear of the teeth and its continuous growth.
The addition of specific whole long fibers with a high silicate content to Complete Cavia granulates ensures maximum chewing activity, necessary dental wear and good oral health.
Fresh Vegetables. The extrusion process allows you to add fresh vegetables to the granulates. The addition of at least 10% fresh vegetables guarantees a more appetizing taste. Furthermore, together with the fibers and the texture of the granules, Complete Cavia becomes an ideal feed for guinea pigs, with a high rate of assimilation. Long Fibers. Guinea pigs are inherently herbivores that require a diet with a sufficiently high fiber content and low starch content. Complete Cavia contains 20% crude fiber.
But the most unique thing is the production process, which allows these foods to contain long, silicate-rich fibers, not crushed, like those found in natural foods.
These long fibers help improve the functioning of the intestines and mouth more effectively than the finely ground fibers of classic rodent feeds.
