Advantix® Spot-on for dogs up to 4 kg is a spot-on pesticide (in drops for external use) which offers ample protection against fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, sand flies, lice and horse fly. Advantix is a product resulting from the combination of two active ingredients, which acts as a pesticide with an insecticidal, acaricidal action and as repellent to protect your dog.

The repellent effect allows you to act on parasites before they can sting. Thanks to its repellent effect, it protects against tick bites and sand flies and in this way Advantix reduces the risk of transmission of LEISHMANIOSIS and other tick-borne diseases (Ehrlichiosis, Borreliosis and Rickettsiosis).

How to apply Advantix:

  • Divide the contents of the pipette into several points between the shoulder blades and the base of the tail.
  • Part the coat until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze a portion of the content on each of the application points.
  • Do not apply an excessive amount of product in any of the points to prevent it from running down the sides of the animal.
  • At the end of the application, check that you have completely emptied the pipette.
On rare occasions, it is possible that the dog may have itching in the application area. The sensation is transient and disappears in a short time.

Further information:

  • Advantix Spot-on is a topical ectoparasiticide containing imidacloprid and permethrin. This association acts as an insecticide, acaricide and repellent. Imidacloprid is effective against adult fleas and flea larval stages. In addition to the adulticidal efficacy against imidaclopid fleas, a larvicidal efficacy in the environment surrounding the treated pet animal has been demonstrated. The larval stages present in the environment surrounding the dog are killed following contact with a treated animal.
  • This product provides repellent (anti-feeding) activity against ticks, sand flies and mosquitoes, thus preventing repelled parasites from taking a blood meal and thus reducing the risk of transmission of vector-borne dog diseases (CVBD ) (diseases such as borreliosis, rickettsiosis, ehrlichiosis, leishmaniasis). IS however, it is possible for individual ticks to attack or for individual sand flies or mosquitoes to bite. For this reason, if conditions are unfavorable, the transmission of infectious diseases by these parasites cannot be completely excluded.
  • The product can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

On very rare occasions, dogs may experience transient skin sensitivity (increased local itching, scratching and rubbing, hair loss and redness at the application site) or lethargy which generally resolves spontaneously.
In very rare cases, dogs may show changes in behavior (agitation, restlessness, moaning or rolling movements) gastrointestinal symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, hypersalivation, decreased appetite) and neurological signs such as staggering and twitching in dogs sensitive to permethrin substance.
